This is not about the movie. It's about the experience of watching it, with popcorn and friends. I can't imagine anything more fun than sitting in a theater with friends and family, laughing through an entire film just to catch up with what you missed. And that's exactly what we did on Saturday evening! We had an amazing time watching "Romans" at the Cinepolis South City festival this weekend, stopping for dinner before hand and meeting some great friends who came along too! I loved how this movie made me re-examine my old ideas of beauty. I could have easily watched this movie and been upset. It deals with a lot of things that are not all that pretty. But there were so many beautiful moments mixed in with the ugly ones, and I was so glad for it! This movie is going to be released in Malaysia on 22 May 2014. I personally cannot wait to watch it because I have heard nothing but good things about it! This weekend, I'll be at the Black Box Cinema for the Cultural Diversity Film Festival (opening) on Friday night, and then at The South City Cinemas on Saturday evening to catch the world premiere screening of "Romans". I've got a ticket, don't worry! I'll see you there! The Indian American National Committee for Cultural Freedom (IANCCF) chose "Romans" as the winner of the 2014 Bollywood Film Festival. The film was chosen by an independent jury of 25 movie reviewers headed by filmmaker and nobel laureate Sharat Rajani. IANCCF chose this film because of its blend of entertainment and social awareness. The awards were accepted by director Paul Feigel at the India International Centre in New Delhi. The film was released on DVD in Malaysia on 12 May 2015 under the same title as that used for screening in India. LIST OF IMAGES OUT-OF-UNIVERSE. Click to enlarge. Click to enlarge. Click to enlarge. This is a spec script I wrote a year ago with the intention of making it into a movie after I pass my 2nd level of editing for a film course in college I actually had a movie idea that revolved around the life of an orphan raised by his foster family, and having been friends with me for years, they discover he is actually an alien from another world who is only about 12/13 years old at the time.. But i got to thinking, and decided against it. I'm not willing to wait another year to make this script into a film. So here we go into the fantasy that is Romans, and hope that we find a way to put it into final form! Romans (Malayalam: ) is a 2014 Indian Malayalam romantic drama film directed by Shaji Kailas and written by Aravind Akash.
